A quick search for "tax haven usa" will tell you, that the USA is being marketed as the biggest tax haven in the world, because the U.S. government intentionally doesn't collect information about the interest income earned by nonresident aliens. I used to live and work in Switzerland, and to me the difference seems to be the same! Now I have moved back to Denmark, where we pay our taxes and smile. They include full health insurance for everyone regardless of income.

My boss will be glad with your statement that we all just have to pay tax and shut up. In the Netherlands we have a broadcasting service archive ( http://www.uitzendinggemist.nl ). Its is a pity though that the complete Quest broadcasting is not at the web. I might have been able to reveal some nitty gritty tricks.
It is a thin line between right or wrong. Did Al Gore went nuts when claiming neuroscience will diminish bad emissions in the atmosphere?
Barack Obama and Dutch prime minister Balkenende yesterday together in the White House made public remarks about fuel efficient car industry in Michigan: The Dutch have taken terrific strides on issues of clean energy and the US thinks that they can get some good advice there, in terms of how to work together. (See: http://dailyeurope.blogspot.com/2009/07/auto-industry-economic-growth-and-human.html )
Yesterday prime minister Balkenende was vague about that "we can do things in another way - innovation in the economic sphere, but also in health issues". Anyway there was talk about private household issues being a matter of corporate social responsibility. Obviously, the Dutch did not deliver the orange chrystal ball yet. Obama went further on human capital economy when talking of revamping the education system, as he would discuss yesterday going to Michigan. He said that "these foundations are so critical because we've got to find new models of economic growth, particularly at a time when consumers are just not going probably going to be spending as much as they were".
The psychological approach to give love and relations a rightful place in private and at work, is also linked to the issue of confidence between people – confidence among consumers, confidence among producers. And therefore it's important working together in every respect and that we can safeguard human rights, just to give hope for people. Because if people are losing each other and their jobs, it's a terrible situation, and we are aware of the fact that we have to change things.
For developing a human capital and private household financial architecture it's important that we are developing the same strategy, and Obama thinks that we have ideas enough; now is the question of the implementation. We are working on that, and therefore also the summit in Pittsburgh is extremely important.
They both referenced that the Dutch also have hands on experience of how to change the health insurance system. Have no time for this now, this is my birthday.
Obama talked with the Dutch Prime minister about measures that are servicing international businessman doing their job in foreign countries. About freedom and human rights and common responsibilities and acting worldwide. This helps safeguarding peace and security. Balkenende is invited to come to Pittsburg for the G20.
By the way Richard, you should be less generous to your 'professor', to get her studying .

Additional benefits such as health insurance an both parents family justice indeed must be taken into account comparing countries. People may end up financial broken when these systems are not in place.
The comments are not coming through correctly. I ment that you should be less generous to your ‘professor’, to get her studying -you- !!

That is right. Governments would not survive without taxes.

Allow me to comment here on the "work on Sunday" dillemma.
The thing is many people are overworked and employers often don't put themselves in their employees' shoes, when making demands on them. The whole "rest on Sunday" concept was designed to make employers let their employees rest at least one day per week. IF NO ONE REGULATES EMPLOYERS' POWER TO REGULATE THEIR EMPLOYEES' LIVES, EMPLOYERS ARE LIKELY TO KEEP PUSHING THEIR LIMITS!!! So in my opinion we need some mandatory time restrictions for employers.
